Races & Results

When I started this blog on January 26th 2012 I set out with the intentions of training for a Tough Mudder, chronicle weight loss, and share my love of food. Little did I know I would end up falling in love with running, falling out of love, and then jumping right back in. March 4th 2012 was the very first race I have ever competed in. In highschool, circa 2004, I competed in the long jump and triple jump and actually made it to sectionals, but never for running. I also at the time thought that the two lap warm up around the track was my coach trying to kill me. Aka distance was not my thing. 2012 was a year of a million changes and I think the URL of this blog says it all : ) Here are the races I have thus far completed, have signed up for, and am thinking of signing up for. If you happen to live in the DC metro area and are running any of these races / want to come to DC to run any of these races you should email me / comment / something so that we can meet! I love meeting fellow running / food bloggers!!

  1. I am working on a race recap for this year too! However, my times aren’t even close to yours!

  2. Dude, we are pretty close to each other. We could probably catch each other at a couple of races. I’m running the Annapolis half on Dec. 1st. My in-laws live there, so we go down a lot. I dig your blog. Thanks for saying hi on mine! And… Obviously your BF has the best name ever. Haha!

  3. Woah looks like we ran the same race – I was at the Cherry Tree 10 Miler and finished in 1:27, must have been seconds around you!
    It’s a small running world.

  4. I’m running the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler this year too! Any tips for a first timer?

    • Pay attention to what corral you are in, this was my first big race and I had no idea people lined up by speed! Also get there early, DC has a huge turn out for all races. Oh and there is a guy who gives out beer and Oreos at the halfway point! Def look for him!!

  5. I’m running the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler this year! Any tips for a first timer?
