I don’t know about you but after a run of more than oh 3 miles it takes my body a little time to cool off. So trying to squeeze a 6 mile run in over lunch means that I am speed showering and hustling back upstairs. I couldn’t stop sweating to save my life. I came back upstairs and my offices mates quickly commented “well you look flushed!”, I wish I had gotten a picture but the locker room was a bit busy and I don’t think people would have appreciated it. All in all the run went good. My legs and butt are incredibly sore from yesterdays work out and I was battling some severe leg fatigue on mile 3. I powered through it and ended up with splits of 9:05, 8:42, 8:38, 8:29, 8:36, 8:59. I am really looking forward to a slow and easy 2 miles tomorrow to shake my legs out, and TONS of stretching. It looks like it is going to be 70 degrees here in DC on Sunday, which is beautiful weather for a early morning 10 miler. I’m not gunna lie, the mileage honestly terrifies me – I get so lonely and bored running for that long, we shall see what happens!

Thank you so much to every one on your hot sauce and book suggestions from this mornings post! I have been hooked on reading lately and don’t want it to stop. I decided prior to the holidays to not drink at all during the month of January and I have stuck to it. I see a lot of reading in my future this weekend, which is a good thing because I have three books to plow through and get started on some of your suggestions!

It’s hearing about weather like that that makes me wish I was back at school. Great job on that run! You’re right on track for the half coming up in a few months 🙂
Ahhh yes, Boston is a bit chillier than Towson : ) Thanks!
I know exactly what you mean about never ending sweat. I too run during my lunch hour and shower. It takes a long time for me to quit dripping. I am glad I am not the only one.
Try having to blow dry your hair for 10 minutes too, SO MUCH HEAT.
I honestly sweat for like an hour after a workout…it’s horrible. I don’t think a lunchtime workout would be feasible! haha
My days have been pretty boring lately…two more weeks before my paperwork will be filed and I can start subbing…
You should OBVIOUSLY wander down to DC with all this free time!!
I have the same problem! After that though I’m freezing my buns off!
It’s the worst!! I have a fan in my office so I turned it on and then 2 minutes later I was totally shivering!
When I run on summer mornings, I am still sweaty for my first few patients. Yuck!
No big plans this weekend but hoping to get in some outdoor runs and fun family time : )
